Please read below for a message from our Principal, Mr. Flanagan:
Dear ÉSBCHS Families,
As I reflect on this past week, my heart is truly full. It has been an incredible few days, not just because of the activities, but because of the tangible sense of community and pride that filled our hallways. Celebrating our diverse cultures has reminded us all of the beautiful tapestry that makes our school so special.
Here are the moments we shared together:
· Monday: We started with joy and laughter during cultural trivia in the atrium.
· Tuesday: Our students proudly explored different traditions at the cultural activity booths, filling their cultural passports with new knowledge.
· Wednesday: The excitement was palpable during the scavenger hunt, as students searched for treasures from various cultures. There was also incredible singing and dancing in the Atrium by both students and staff.
· Thursday: Cultural Potluck — A true feast for the senses and the soul.
· Friday: Dress up in your cultural clothing day — Seeing our students wear their heritage with pride was simply moving.
While every moment was special, Thursday's Cultural Potluck was the absolute heartbeat of the week. It was deeply touching to see so many students and staff eager to share a piece of their home and their history through food. Watching them explain their dishes to classmates and seeing the genuine curiosity and delight on everyone's faces was a powerful reminder of how food brings us together. The participation was outstanding, but the kindness and connection were what truly mattered. We will be sharing photos that capture these heartwarming moments in the Principal's Corner below. Thank you for trusting us with your children and for supporting this wonderful community we are building together.
With gratitude,
Mr. S. Flanagan

A big congratulations to the small, but mighty group of students who represented Bandits Swimming this week at the Metro Swimming Championships at the Kinsmen Sports Centre. ESBCHS sent five students to the meet which saw 750+ students compete. All five swimmers made it to the Day #2 Championship portion of the meet, where they earned medals and made several Top 8 finishes.
Highlights included Sophia Dille earning Silver in 200 IM and a 4th place finish in 100 Butterfly. The girls relay team consisting of Mia Bradley, Carys Dille, Taylor Hannon, and Sophia Dille earned a Bronze medal in the 4 x 50 Freestyle relay and placed 5th in the 4 x 50 Medley relay. Carys Dille placed 4th in both 100 and 50 Breaststroke, Mia Bradley placed 3rd in her heat of the 50 Breast B final, and Taylor Hannon placed 7th in the 100 Free final and 3rd in the 50 Breast B final. On the boys side, Jayden Visscher earned personal best times every time he dove off the blocks, placing 6th in the 50 Butterfly final and 5th in the 50 Freestyle final. Excellent work, Bandit Swimmers!
