Film & Media Arts 15

Film and Media Arts 15 (25 & 35 in subsequent years) are courses designed to develop critical viewing skills as well as creative skills related to film production. The theory portion of the courses cover a wide array of topics from film history to genre and directorial studies. Building upon theoretical understandings of film, students create video projects inspired by what they've watched and have the opportunity to try a number of different roles related to screenwriting, directing, editing, and camera operating. Film & Media Arts 15 is an exploration into film genre, technique, theory, history and world cinema. From studying cinema, students will move towards the process of creating their own films and building a film portfolio. Course fee required.
