Mechanics 10 (3 credits) *Course fee

The  introductory level of this course has an emphasis on vehicle care, ownership and fundamentals skills.

Mechanics 20 (5 credits) *Course fee

Recommended prerequisite: Completion of Mechanics 10

Intermediate level of this course is for students to build on the competencies developed at the introductory level and focus on customer repair and service of the following components or systems: Brake Systems, Front Suspension, Standard Transmissions/Transaxles, Wheel Alignment, Drive Train.

Mechanics 30 (5 credits) *Course fee

Recommended prerequisite: Completion of Mechanics 20

In the advanced level of mechanics, students will be preparing for entry into the work place or a related post-secondary program. Students will diagnose, service and repair the following components or systems on customer vehicles: Engine Tune-up, Electrical Components Electrical Fundamentals, Engine Reconditioning, Rear Axle / Drive Trains.
