Pride Alliance Candy Sale

This week we would like to highlight national coming out day.  National Coming Out Day was made on October 11th 1988 by Robert Eichberg and Jean O’Leary. It commemorates the anniversary of the national march on Washington for lesbian and gay rights. It is about creating a safe space for queer people to be able to be and show their authentic selves, to challenge stereotypes and prejudices around the queer community and to promote acceptance and inclusion. To commemorate this day, the pride alliance will be having a candy sale on Thursday in the atrium at lunch, all proceeds will be donated to the Trevor project.
