Medical Services

If you are considering a career in the medical field or simply have an interest learning about the human body, Medical Services is the program for you.

The Medical Services 10 program covers topics about health and wellness, nutrition, the musculoskeletal system and the cardiovascular system. Students will also take a standard first aid course with an opportunity to earn their Standard First Aid certificate with AED. A course fee will be required to cover the St. John Ambulance registration fee.

Medical Sciences 20 continues to expand learning about human body systems. Some of the topics overlap with the human body system units of Biology 30, so Medical Sciences can give you an advantage in Biology 30. The topics covered in  Medical Sciences 20 are mental health, pregnancy, the nervous system, the endocrine system and the immune system.
