On this day, students will have three things to accomplish:

    • School Photos: Students will have their school photos taken. Students will also receive their Student Identification Card and an order form sheet. Please stress that they should not lose their ID card as they will need to show it to enter the school during locked door times.
    • Lockers: Students may explore the school and choose a locker in the location of their choice. Students must bring their own combination lock (a limited amount of locks will be available for purchase from the school). The lock combination, along with the number of the locker they choose, must be written on the Locker Form that students will receive on this day. This form must be signed and returned as soon as possible (can be dropped off that day). Students must secure the locker with their lock on this day and must never leave anything in an unlocked locker. If students want to bring items for the inside of their locker, for example a mirror or shelf, they may do so on this day if they wish. Note: some lockers in the school are full height and others are half height.
    • Textbooks: Students will receive textbooks for their semester one classes on this day. Please note that not all classes have a textbook. Students may choose to leave their textbooks in their locked locker on this day.

    Parents, please note the following:

    • School Fees will be posted on PowerSchool by August 21 and are due by September 30th. Fees can be paid online via the PowerSchool parent portal or payments can be made at the school office via credit, debit, cash or cheque.
    • Student timetables will be visible to parents and students on PowerSchool on August 19, 2024.
    • Timetable Changes
      • Summer School: PLEASE NOTE: Verify your timetable prior to making an appointment to ensure a change is required. Students who do require a timetable change due to Summer School classes can call 780-929-1340 on August 21 to make an appointment for August 21, 22 or 23.
      • General Timetable changes: Students who wish to request a timetable change not related to summer school can pick up a Timetable Change Request Form from Student Services or the Main Office starting August 28. Changes will ONLY be considered for the following reasons: stream change; filling a spare; dropping a class; retaking a class or to meet post-secondary requirements. **No changes will be made to option courses.
